There are numerous keyboard shortcuts that can greatly improve your computer skills.  Some shortcut might have different functionalities on different applications. Below is a summary of the keyboard shortcuts for common web applications.

a). (F1 – F12) Keyboard Shortcut for Word

  • F1: Help Button 
  • F2: Move image or text
  • F3: Insert auto text
  • F4: Repeat the previous action
  • F5: Launch “Find and Replace” dialogue box
  • F6: Go to next panel
  • F7:  Launch Spelling and Grammar checker
  • F8: Extend from current selection to selecting all contents
  • F9: Reload a page
  • F10: Display key tips for navigating word taskbar
  • F11: Go to next file

b). (F1 – F12  + Shift Key) Keyboard Shortcut in Word

  • F1 + Shift: Reveal formatting of selected text(font, font size, alignment, and indentation)
  • F2 + Shift: copy selected text
  • F3 + Shift: Change case of the selected words
  • F4 + Shift: Launch “find and replace” dialog box
  • F5 + Shift: Go to the previous revision when editing a word document
